Welcome, farm friends!
We're Jesse and Lisa Vivian of rural, western Pennsylvania. Along with our three children, we started our first-generation dairy farm on our 20 acre homestead.
Our dairy farm is not traditional, in the modern dairy world. Instead, we've harnessed the dairy farm of yester year and of the European Microdairy models: we milk ten cows once each day, vat-pasteurize and sell all our milk directly from our farm to our community.
After Jesse's parent's first-generation dairy farm had to sell in 2017, he wanted to find a way to prove small, family-run dairy farms could be successful in America. We started our Microdairy as a hobby in 2019 and turned our passion for dairy farming into a viable business model. We're so excited to share all we've learned on our business journey with you, to help expand this Microdairy model which has proven not only financially sustainable but environmentally sustainable as well!
