Happy Friday!
Welcome, Fall.
We've had the shop prepared for Autumn for weeks now, but we're so glad to officially welcome our favorite season this weekend. September 22 also happens to be my birthday, so I'm especially happy to celebrate the first day of Autumn each year! From the crispness in the air to the sights, smells and tastes of the season and the Holidays that follow, we all welcome Autumn with open arms around here.

We're in the midst of our fall gelato flavors, and as we keep up with the Pumpkin Spice craze of the season, we're also really proud of our newest gelato flavor: BROWNIE BATTER! I know it's a step aside from our first two flavors (Spiced Pumpkin and Apple Cheesecake), but my kids mentioned that I make more cookies and brownies in the fall. And as I'm always looking for the perfect scratch brownie recipe to free us of the boxed stuff, I thought this was such a fun idea. And who doesn't love a brownie?! So we made a brownie batter base with cake flour and cocoa powder and sugar, of course. And we folded in some perfectly fudgey brownie pieces to create a chocolate-lovers dream gelato! Brownie batter will be available at our farm shoppe this Saturday 10am until 2pm and next week anywhere you buy our gelato!
.
But we're not taking away all the classics of fall: it's still honeycrisp apple season at the farm shoppe! Featuring locally grown honeycrisp apples, our shoppe is bursting with fall apples! We've also got Cortland (the perfect, tart baker) and Autumn Crisp (a sweet/tart variety that rivals the crunch of a honeycrisp and lasts longer in your cooler, too)! Stock up on locally sourced, fresh apples at the shoppe this Saturday.
.
And some housekeeping: if you've been waiting to get your hands on some fresh flowers, things are a little different this year at Meadow and Twilight Flower Farm in Corsica. Though Lynne had some unexpected outcomes with her dahlia patch, she still has zinnias and several other beautiful varieties growing beautifully! Contact her if you'd like to pick!

- A list of Cozy Movies for Fall. Yes, please.
- 'Tis the season for my favorite roast recipe: featuring apple cider, cinnamon sticks and butternut squash, this roast is so, so good.
- Just spooky enough for October, yet cute enough to keep out as long as you want: a $5 Raven decoration!
- I've loved these cute latches on our cabinets since we upgraded them last year.
- It's Oktoberfest at Mechanistic Brew Pub this weekend! Located in downtown Clarion, PA this is our favorite local brewery with a family-friendly environment. And it's a great weekend to stop!
Have the best weekend, friends!
We hope to see you this Saturday (and every Saturday) at the farm shoppe 10am until 2pm!
