We're officially in Valentine's Day mode in the creamery (and yes, it's such a delicious thing)! While the winter freezes on around us, it's all strawberries and the taste of summer here this week. From fresh strawberry gelato to strawberry cheesecake and the most beautiful strawberry stracciatella "chocolate covered strawberry": we're just in the beginning of the all the amazing flavors of Valentine's Day. Hint: chocolate varieties drop next week. In the name of Valentine's Day, we're also offering some local, handmade chocolates at the shoppe, too!
.
Our winter hours continue at the farm shoppe:
Saturday 10am until 1pm
Sunday 1pm until 3pm
.
Links + finds from the week (some things I genuinely enjoy sharing and I hope you enjoy them, too):
- Seed starting 101: a free course by Floret is back! It's fun to imagine planting our gardens in just a few months.
- How to raise readers, in 35 lessons. Though we're not experts, by any means, I loved all these tips and am starting to use some ASAP (book before the movie is one we're already using!).
- A great Superbowl recipe: carnitas nachos! And using the slow-cooker? Yes, please.
- Our current favorite family card game (seriously a fun one for ages 6+).
- The pure joy of this dog's new wheelchair.
Have the best weekend, friends.
We're so glad you're here,
Lisa
As a Title 1 Reading teacher I loved the article on raising readers! So many great ideas. 😊
