Happy Friday! It's cold and snowy, a classic January weekend in store with an extra day off school for MLK day. I know we're all excited to enjoy these three inches of fresh white snow with some sledding and snowmans this long weekend. I wish I could say the cows were excited about it, but since they're snug and cozy in the barn all winter, I think they don't really care about snow falling outside! Thankfully, the barn has stayed a cozy just-above-freezing temperature so far this year and we haven't had (knock on wood) any frozen water disasters. The girls are perfectly content hanging out together in their dry, cozy barn, I can assure you.

We have some great farm friends in Ohio at Copia Farm who are huge fans of Buckeyes, so to share in their excitement this weekend, we brought back one of our most popular gelato flavors to date: BUCKEYE! I know so many of you have been waiting for this peanut butter gelato with bits of chocolate and an extra generous peanut butter swirl. It's a peanut butter lovers dream! And since my Mom has been patiently waiting, we added a second peanut butter to the list: vanilla peanut butter swirl. Our vanilla gelato is finished with a swirl of peanut butter to make a simple, sweet, creamy peanut butter gelato. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this one- especially scoop-by-scoop next to a Buckeye! Both peanut butter gelatos are available at our farm shoppe this weekend!

Links + finds from the week:
- It's movie season, and I loved this list of 20 Life-Changing movies to help you manifest your best year yet.
- The FDA (finally) bans red dye 3: on the list of affected foods/drinks is strawberry milk! I promise, you'll never find food dyes in any of our milks/yogurts/gelatos: never. That's also why our strawberry milk is just slightly pink: it's colored with real fruit! I'm so relieved to say goodbye to red dye.
- This is delicious, and I'm subbing chicken for beef this weekend to try the same recipe again!
- We love PBS Nature documentaries, especially in winter. Spend an hour in snowy Yellowstone is such a good one.
- A timelapse of a bird building her nest: such a visual of what happens when we take the first step (just as MLK stated, above).
Happy weekend! Stay warm out there!
