Happy {Fall} Friday!

As the leaves lean into their peak colors, it's hard not to stare and enjoy the beauty of nature. Even on my most impatient days lately (as I'm waiting on baby in my 38th week of pregnancy), I can't help but feel better after a walk outside in the crisp air with the colors of Autumn all around. That being said, yes: I'm still pregnant! And yes: all of my other babies came earlier than this one. And yes, these times are trying. But we're anxiously awaiting our fourth baby and know God's timing is always worth the wait. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers: we're so grateful to you all!
.
As Autumn rolls on, so do our gelato flavors to greet the season! We're excited to bring you a full restock of butter pecan gelato this week. Our first batches sold so quickly that we haven't been able to deliver to local stores. But this is the week: a full restock is in our farm shoppe and headed to a store near you early next week.
.
And another new flavor is here, a take on last year's favorite: chocolate peanut butter pretzel. We took your advice and added two new updates this year: more peanut butter and chocolate-covered pretzels. In an effort to appease the peanut-butter lovers, we added MORE peanut butter swirl. And to keep the pretzels with a crunch, we used chocolate-covered pretzels. I think this year's chocolate peanut butter pretzel gelato is a real win. I can't wait for your feedback!
.
We're again fully stocked on HONEYCRISP apples and the freshest pressed apple cider this week! And a new shipment of farm fresh eggs has arrived to the farm shoppe for your weekend breakfast. Plus, we have gourmet caramel apples in stock from Coal Glen Candle Co! It's a perfect fall stock-up weekend at the farm shoppe, this Saturday (and every Saturday) 10am until 2pm.
.
Links + finds from the week:
- A great fall movie watch, Nanny McPhee! It's a full family favorite.
- I made this surprisingly easily apple tart and it's delicious!
- I've been consistently using these battery-operated taper candles since it's dark earlier and earlier each night, and we all love them. You can set a timer, and they are so realistic. Such a fun touch for fall and winter months.
- I recently read the story of the humble Supper Club at Lost Creek Farm and their preservation of Appalachian food traditions and am so inspired. I'd love to see something similar close to home...someday!
- I loved all of this: a parody of the real reason we're having a 4th baby.
Have the best Autumn weekend, friends!
We hope to see you at the farm shoppe this Saturday (and every Saturday) 10am until 2pm.
xx,
Lisa
