Our Final Friday of Summer Break

" 'Cause a little bit of summer is what the whole year is all about."

We've all seen the hint of orange/gold in the leaves on some of our Maple Trees and the crispness in the morning air, the Queen Anne's lace and dahlias are blooming and the local school's fall sports programs have officially begun. We've stocked up on all things pumpkin at the farm because it's just around the corner: summer's end. This time of year is always bittersweet, while we're feeling the sleepiness of the late nights and endless summer activities, we can't believe the end of summer break could possibly be here so soon. But here we are! New school backpacks and earlier bedtimes await. Our kids start school this upcoming Wednesday, and the jitters and excitement are palpable around here. Plus, I'm more than ready to enter the last weeks of pregnancy! Our baby is due this October, so September is a welcome month in my mind.
.
We're finishing up the end of our summer gelato flavors soon with some fresh fruit and citrus favorites, and I can't wait to hear what you all think of our newest Key Lime Cheesecake gelato: a sweet and tart flavor perfect for the end of summer!. We've also restocked our peaches and cream and are bringing you more fruit for the end of the summer season--stay tuned!
.
Speaking of end of summer favorites, we're excited to bring our gelato cart back to Meadow and Twilight Flower Farm in the next several weeks for dahlia and bouquet  you-picks and gelato! Stay tuned for dates, these are really some of my favorite late summer evenings.
.
And don't forget about our locally raised beef restock: our premium steaks are selling fast but we still have some amazing finds left: from giant Porterhouse and Ribeye to NY Strip, filet and sirloin: our steak freezer is restocked!
