Happy Friday 5/31/24!

In the spirit of local and seasonal, we've created one of the most lovely gelato flavors this week! Our friend Amy brought us some of her fresh rhubarb and we created a rhubarb compote with just sugar and lemon juice. We added the rhubarb compote with some pureed strawberries and voila! A subtle tart-and-sweet strawberry rhubarb gelato has changed my mind on rhubarb forever! I think the combination of our rich, creamy gelato base has made this flavor stand out, but either way: I can't wait for you all to taste it!
.
And while we were churning gelato this week, we thought also of the peanut-butter lovers out there and made one for the record books: chocolate peanut butter pretzel! We started with a peanut butter gelato and added melted chocolate for a swirled chocolate crunch and finished with the salty addition of pretzels! I think its the sweet-and-salty gelato for those who love peanut butter!
.
We're restocked with cookies-and-cream gelato pints, too. So this is the week to stop out to the farm shoppe for gelato: so many flavors for all palates! Our farm shoppe is open this Saturday (and every Saturday) 10am until 2pm.

This week's links + finds:
- Our talented sourdough baker and chef friend Brooke is on the move with her new food truck! Catch Brooke @wherewildrosegoes all around the area with the freshest food! We can't wait to visit her at Mechanistic Brewing in Clarion!
- My 12-year-old daughter and I started using Rosehip oil as our face moisturizer a few months ago and we both love it! Such a clean, simple ingredient and less break-outs!
- Making this fresh, summer minestrone soup this week!
- So glad Chip and Joanna Gaines share a similar stance on social media and their kids.
- I could see Kate doing this exact thing. Alex, on the other hand, would never allow such wild behavior.
We hope you have the best weekend, friends!
See you at the farm shoppe this Saturday (and every Saturday) 10am - 2pm!
xx,
Lisa
